Bourbon: Configure the Cockbox
Bourbon is my base spirit of choice, and is the most versitile to make drinks with. Here is an overview of how to configure your Cockbox to make my 13 favorite bourbon drinks (and probably more).
The Drinks:
- Old Fashioned
- Whiskey Sour
- Manatee
- True Grit
- Paper Plane

- Milk and Honey
- Gold Rush
- Manhattan
- Black Manhattan
- Boulvardier
- Left Hand
Configuration (14 Cockbox bottles):
- Bourbon or Rye (16oz) - this makes 8 drinks.. or simply have friends bring the bourbon, and use the 16oz for something else.
- Lemon Juice (16oz) - or you can bring it in a cooler, or of course, fresh lemons!
- Simple Syrup (16oz) - or put the honey simple in the 16oz depending on which recipes you like most.
- Honey Simple Syrup
- Sweet Vermouth (Carpano Antica)
- Triple Sec (Grand Marnier)
- Amaro Nonino
- Amaro Montenegro
- Amaro Averna
- Aperol
- Campari
- Amaretto
- Allspice Dram
- Cherries
Bitters: the standard four - barrel aged (my fave), orange, Angostura, chocolate
Spice case: Sugar, Red chili flakes
On the side:
- Eggs (egg whites) - must have
- Lemon peel
- Orange peel
- Chunk of ginger - needed for Milk and Honey
- Red chili flakes - needed for True Grit
